this was excellent, tight but with infinite reach, that is, precise but universal. a sparse snapshot, haunted and shuddering with lonely breath. every piece of dialogue is correct, teenagers act as they should, and there is mirth among the maudlin. i cried, and felt better about everything when i finished reading it. plotless, but not a waste of time.
