The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg

4.0

I wasn't really sure about The Pier Magician when I first started. It isn't something I would normally read. But, as the story went on it really pulled me in. I loved the premise of Ceony walking through Emery's heart and falling in love with him. I liked that each chamber of the heart was a different aspect of Emery's life his hopes, wishes, joys as well as his sadness, fears, and regrets.

I would say The Paper Magician isn't heavy on romances. It feels more like a gentle discovery of love. Ceony was forced to see that that Emery was and still chose to love him after everything she saw while exploring his heart.

The one thing I didn't enjoy about The Paper Magician is that it didn't see to sty true to the time period or the setting. I wish it would have been more time accurate it would have made the story so much better.

Overall I enjoyed The Paper Magician and would recommend for people who want a light romance read.
