Maybe I am just not in the mood for urban fantasy but this story seemed to have no heart. Wilde felt like a paint-by-numbers version of Anita Blake.
The writing was professional enough, although the author seemed to strain for three-syllable words. The characters though... seemed flat and stereotypical for the genre.
