The Doll in the Garden: A Ghost Story by Mary Downing Hahn
4.0
The first book I read by Mary Downing Hahn was 'Wait Till Helen Comes' I enjoyed the book so much that I brought this one.
I really enjoyed the story and I thought it was well written for the younger audience. Although it was short and sweet, you connected which the main characters very well, especially Ashley.
As I am not part of the younger audience, I wasn't spooked by what went on, but became sad by the events which happened throughout the story. Because Ashely's Dad passed away, you really connect with her to the point where you find yourself being sad together. As she beings to open up and explain her feelings towards the passing of her Dad, you feel quiet sorry for her.
An enjoyable easy read which allows you to be apart of the story every step of the way.
