The Dark Tower, Volume 1: The Gunslinger Born by Peter David

5.0

I admit it: my love has blinded me and whatever flaws this and the book-series may have (and they do), I don't care. The smooth, unsettling drawing style accentuates King's equally unsettling dialogue and the posture of the teenaged Roland who always walked and talked more like a man than a boy. A great tribute and prequel to one of my favourite book series of all time. And I'll admit it, I love Cuthbert and Alain and it was a joy to follow them follow Roland before and after the shining sun of Susan Delgado.
