The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly

5.0

While being towards the end of The Law of Innocence I've realized that The Lincoln Lawyer, which was a great, great movie, extremely well played by Matthew McConaughey, was a movie based on Michale Connelly's book. Googled it and sure enough, there it was. So i am taking this opportunity to start this exquisite series from the beginning.

There is a really delicious feeling when you find a new series of books written by an author you love. you know you're in for a treat and it feel so so so good.

The book is really well done and we get to know Mickey close up and personal. Reading about a lawyer versus a LAPD detective is a nice change of gears. The action is happening mainly in court and Connelly, as always, does an amazing job to portray it all in a way that makes the reader feel like he/she has a front line seat.

As I've said before, having extremely intelligent main characters makes the story super enjoyable and the plot twists are so much better for it.
