Don't Let Go by Harper Fox

3 stars.
Ah, I have to say this was the weakest installment of T&F series for me.
I like how Harper tied every story to specific holiday, and as Valentine's Day story it worked in a terms of romance... We kind of got confirmation of Gideon's and Lee's love in [b:Tinsel Fish|18949069|Tinsel Fish (Tyack & Frayne, #2)|Harper Fox|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1385407722s/18949069.jpg|26958965], so it was just enjoying reading how peaceful and trustful their feelings for each other are. Gideon is just... swoonworthy. He is badly hurt in this book, though, but it's already established that Gid on the brink of death would probably throw himself in front of Lee. ;)
I think this story failed on mystery/paranormal part. Old children-abduction case closely tied to Lee's family and past had kind of...lazy(?) and unimaginative resolution. I say that because I read more than a few mysteries with similar base story
Spoiler
(remote village, community spirit and a secret all of them agreed to keep)The paranormal aspect...Uf... there are few hints about Lee's dad in previous books, so we got the answer about that, but giving Gid a role in it was, imo,too accommodating. He was already perfect...:)
Great series. Recommended.
