This was so well done! Great deaf representation as well as CPS/foster care involved youths as adults. Warren was a great, grumpy MMC but once they were in love, he became a total cinnamon roll which was cute but I did miss the gruff a little. I appreciate the author mentioning that he was in therapy for his anger management struggles and then writing scenes showing him actively using his coping strategies/failing to use them. The dedication “This book is dedicated to those who think Jess was Rory’s best boyfriend. The rest of you are wrong.” was spot on too bc Warren definitely reminded me of Jess. Luke was a total sweetheart too and I loved seeing the brother dynamic.
Chloe was great  — I felt like she was really relatable and such a good FMC. Her friends, Emily and Lane, were great additions too.
My only (very small) complaint is the ending felt fairly sudden. I was expecting
after Chloe finding Warren having a bit of a reconciliation with Warren and Luke.
But it wasn’t needed per se, I just wanted to spend more time with these characters!
