i did not love this novel. Though i found some of it interesting or a relatable depiction of dealing with tough mental health issues, the plot and the internal monologues were not evenly balanced. Gilda did eleanor so dirty and it was shitty of her but like Gilda's awareness but inability to accept responsibility frustrated me.
Spoiler the finale being Gilda's confessionals from Jail was insane and like one of the poorest plot devices ive seen used in a long time. She easily absolves herself of all guilt and then so does rosemary which is annoying. i feel like circumstances of graces death was an important convo and would have enjoyed a deeper dive into this from Gilda as a suicidal person.
Spoiler Overall, i think the book ended quickly and in a very different note then the rest of the novel.
