Although my interest in Serpent & Dove went a bit downhill during the series, I loved the side characters (Lou and Reid's romance was my problem). And specially I loved Celie in the final book so I was intrigued to see where her story was going. And I wasn't disappointed. Celie is not your typical book heroine, she's soft, she's not particularly physically strong and can't fight. But she doesn't give up, she's resilient. And I love her for it. I hated Jean Luc during the book (what's new I guess), and I loved the inclusion of Coco, Beau, Lou and Babette. And Les Eternels, loved them. New characters bring a breath of fresh air into the series, but Michal and Dimitri were specially interesting. And obviously, we can't forget the romance. Good, not taking too much of the general plot and with a good foundation. You really can't ask more from the book. I'm plesantly surprised with the book and I'm waiting for the sequel
