This is actually a re-read for me that I didn’t remember at all. Read this 8 years ago and not one thing in the book I remembered. I did overall enjoy it but it was a 4 star for me back then. Now it’s low 3.
Some interesting things I noticed now that I likely wouldn’t have back then. Sloan is dealing with a very complicated cPTSD that is compounded the further you read. There’s a lot unpack. It’s also likely very triggering for others with trauma. That’s a common critique I’ve heard in other CoHo books and now years later I see that back in this book.
