Naked in the Promised Land: A Memoir by Lillian Faderman

4.5

I first stumbled on Lillian Faderman's work for a high school history project almost a decade ago, and it was hugely influential to me. She and her work are a huge part of the reason I pursued a history degree at all, and I continue to revisit and recommend her books time and again. And after all of that, I'm delighted to say that her memoir was amazing! She's just such a good writer, and her life is easily as entertaining, fascinating, and inspiring as any of the subjects she's covered in her books.
