emotional hopeful informative reflective sad fast-paced

4.0

Dr Shepherd has written another book that takes you in the mortuary with him as he investigates the many causes of death that the human race face. Using The seven ages of death speech from As You Like It, you are taken through the horrific and sad deaths that happen at each stage of life. Unlike his first book, the stories told are not well known and the focus is on the fascinating human body and the intricacies of being a person. The cases chosen will punch you in the gut, reflect on your own mortality but also the last days loved ones may have faced.
