Keepers, the last book in the Mentalist trilogy, started out much stronger than the first two books and stayed that way. While the first two books were told solely from Gemma’s perspective, this one opens up to Russ’s point of view as well, making for a more well rounded story. My one gripe with that was that I found their voices to be incredibly similar, sometimes making it difficult to remember which point of view I was reading. There was also a lot more action in this plot and most of the chapters ended in small cliffhangers, urging me to read faster. And the conclusion had nice closure to the overall story arc while leaving it open for potential additions later. This was, I think, the best book of the bunch.
