Die Lebenden und die Toten by Nele Neuhaus

2.0

Argh. The writing (especially the dialogues) was so chunky and uneven, I hated the profiler character (the least nuanced portrayal of profiling ever, no one is *that* unlikeable tbh) and the personal relationship stuff was, as in the last couple ones from the series, very weird to it, because it feels to me like Neuhaus is going back on a lot of the previous characterizations (especially of Bodenstein's ex-wife). The murder mystery is interesting in itself (as is the topic of organ donation) but it starts too slow and then too many thing happen and characters are involved, even if the the way it's solved is pretty neat. Also, frankly, I'd prefer less serial killers with a ~special~ motive in my murder mysteries and more "regular" crimes - serial killers seem like a weird trend every crime author jumps on these days and it's so overdone.
