This is a billionaire, fake fiancé, brother’s ex, forced proximity romance novel. This is a standalone book by Kat Singleton.

Black Ties and White Lies is an ok read. I fell asleep like five times trying to read this but once I got so far I refused to not finish it. I’m completely torn, because I wanted to love this. I dove in expecting to love it.

At first, I really liked the banter and the playfulness between Margo and Beck. It was entertaining and made for some laughs. It was cute, quirky and just silly.

Around pg.100
It started getting a little bit annoying like this book is just going back-and-forth of them messing with each other, arguing and about how their not having sex and its missing a real plot. It seemed like scenes were being skipped, just so they could fight or hide in their rooms being mad at each other. It was just going in circles with no real direction.

I would’ve liked more conversations of their actual job and life in general than all the arguing back-and-forth. More like a get to know you better session. It’s a lot of why can’t I f*ck you yet…. It was frustrating because this book had potential to be great, if it grew an actual storyline. There is no real build up. I kept finding myself exiting this book to read other things, when it wasn’t making me doze off
