Consumed by Deception by Rina Kent
dark
emotional
tense
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? It's complicated
- Loveable characters? It's complicated
- Diverse cast of characters? No
- Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
i have really mixed feelings about this trilogy! did i like it? great question. did i devour it in a few days when nothing else has held my attention? yes!
i definitely don’t LIKE these characters. adrian is hard to read and doesn’t seem to have a lot of redeemable qualities besides his devotion and passion for lia. lia is complicated and seems to always be convincing us that she does love adrian. and yet… the drama of their relationship was pretty juicy so i kept reading.
i don’t know if another rina kent book is in the cards for me anytime soon.
