Here We Go Again by Alison Cochrun

3.75

I kind of hated this and loved it at the same time.
Things I loved first
- the vibes (I’m a lover of spontaneous adventures
-the conversations about death (while I don’t have personal experience with it, I do think books have prepared me as much as possible)
Things I didn’t like
-the pop culture references/ the characters swearing using queer celebrities names. It’s just so fucking weird. Stop.
-saying a restaurant “accepted Odie’s service dog credentials” when Odie is not a service dog. The book says Odie passed everything except his “last test”, but throughout the book, Odie exhibits not a single aspect of being a service dog. It was just a stupid statement that wasn’t needed in the book at all and contributes to the difficulties of how people act around ACTUAL service dogs
-the fact that this is called a romcom. I should not ugly cry this much while reading a rom com
-I also didn’t even like the romance. Maybe I just didn’t like the characters, but I felt like there was no chemistry at all
-wish it would’ve been a story about J+R instead (you’ll get it if you read it)

All that said, if you read the first few chapters and enjoy those, i think you’ll enjoy the whole book
