Suspicious Minds: Why We Believe Conspiracy Theories by Rob Brotherton

3.0

I found this book very readable, and would recommend it to a general audience as a look into the trove of concepts that make people think conspiratorially.

The logical arguments it made were pretty consistent and it drew from a lot of topics to keep the core information fresh. I still ended up finishing the book with a sense of this being too shallow of a look at the world of conspiracy. I'm torn because the studies it went in to gave the highlights to get the gist of what the author wanted to convey though them but it also felt lacking in depth. I stand by this book as a good introduction to the world of conspiracy and how the mind works, but think there is a lot more satisfying examination to be found elsewhere.
