this was and still is one of my favorite books in this series. these novellas tell an essential backstory to celaena and how she was shaped as a character. additionally, even on the second read i knew a certain scene was coming and i still teared up.
i am currently rereading these books in anticipation for hofas and i am so glad to relearn a lot of the details that i forgot. this is definitely a series that stands the test of time to me.
