Man Enough: Undefining My Masculinity by Justin Baldoni
4.0
I’m not the target audience of this book. But I greatly enjoyed it.
There’s nothing wrong with masculinity. There is nothing wrong with being a man. But I do wish we did a better job at teaching men and boys that they are enough just as they are.
They don’t need to be strong enough, smart enough, sexy enough, a good enough provider, etc. That them being themselves is enough.
We could do with tearing down stereotypes and instead focus on building up men.
I wish more men would read this. Even if turned off, and do what he says—keep what feels right.
Warning: instances of strong language, discussion of negative effects of pornography, vague references of suicide
