A Million Worlds with You by Claudia Gray

3.0

All was well, until exactly halfway through the audiobook. Things began to flatline in terms of emotional tension and excitement. The ending wrapped up way too fast and I still didn't quite catch what exactly was even happening. We were doing so good! By the end, I realized that most of the book had been me reading inside Marguerite's head, and it was getting a little lonely--I wanted to hear more about other people. I wish there had been more outside dialogue.

While the multiple-dimension theory is still mostly believable (as time went on, I found a LOT more holes in the theory), the whole idea of making public the research they do on the Firebird doesn't make sense to me. There are SO many ways to abuse that power (just read the first two books to find out what sort of unethical things can happen when it falls in the wrong hands).

Obstacles were way too easy to overcome, and I was able to predict most of the book, which I normally can't do. Hard parts didn't faze me--I was always 100% certain that characters were going to make it out alright, which made me feel removed from all the action.
