The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes

3.0

I wanted to love this book. The premise of this historical fiction novel really intrigued me, and knowing the author's storytelling ability, I was expecting this to be a winner. The history didn't fail to impress, and I thought the story of how 600 Australian brides made their journey to England on a returning Aircraft Carrier was fascinating. You could tell, however, that this was an early Moyes work, as the story just didn't pull together all that well. Thank goodness for the well researched historical parts.
