An excellent adventure and some very interesting ideas on the nature of time travel.

Unfortunately the characters suffer, particularly the women. A charitable interpretation may be that the one female character is interested in fashion, is vivacious and needs to he saved because the men of this story are so maladjusted and traumatized that' they can't see her any further than the lens of a teenage boy (something the story fairly does comment on).

The non charitable interpretation is that we don't intersperse the plot with views and chapter's from Nöys because the author is simply uncomfortable writing from that viewpoint.

I wouldn't blame anyone for putting this down before we learn more about Nöys and I desperately hope another author takes these ideas because they are, as usual with Asimov, brilliant.
