Lord Loss by Darren Shan

5.0

Although it's not the best I've read in a while, I really enjoyed it. It's a great way to kick off a series. I've had this book, and this series, for years yet something stops me from reading them no matter how many times I start. I've finally decided to finish the god damn series and put off Thirteen, Talking with Serial Killers and The Invisible Guardian. This is something I must do.

Some things let me down with the book, but not enough to dock even one star off. I hate how short it is, yet I can't imagine anything else happening in Lord Loss to make it longer, so there is no wonder why he ended it from that moment. I hated how Billy "changed" his name to Bill-E. It was exhausting to read over and over. The last thing I hated about this book is how it was choppy at the end. It was just paragraphs; although the last two pages were amazing. I couldn't help but laugh at the end.

Overall, this book is a wonderful read and I will probably end up reading it again.
