Cursed reminded me a bit of typical awesome JLA writing style mixed with X-Men First Class with a dash of Carrie.
Truthfully, I expected Cursed to have been one of JLA's first books, as it just didn't feel as fleshed out or flow as well as her other novels. I was really surprised to see that it was published in 2012. Don't get me wrong, I completely enjoyed it, but it also reminded me a lot of Obsidian, as if she'd written this first and then changed it a bit and used it for the Lux series. Maybe I'm imagining things here, but that's what it seemed like to me!
