Are You Experienced? by William Sutcliffe

3.0

I don’t like books about India. Like how poor people are or how “spiritual” or rather fake spiritual they are or how everyone asks for money or about the hippie crowd or the politically aggressive crowd or how they are travelling to “find” themselves or even how they are trying save by thinking India is all about slums and it goes on. There is so much more to talk or do In India but every book I read was pretty much about what I mentioned.

I wouldn’t say this book was different but I think it was written some time back and I can how the writer described India is similar but not so much. I like this because it was not about “Indians” but about the “travellers”. The hippy kind, the “we know better” kind, the “dammit this country is shit” kind. It’s from a different perspective and I liked it. I finished in few hours so it’s a very easy read. It’s not book I would go in search for but if you accidentally find it, it’s a interesting read.
