The book is dark, it’s disturbing; it isn’t a light, fun read. But its twisted nature makes it addictive and you can’t put it down. To me, it is like marmite: you love it or you hate it. I found it fascinating, the plot twist unexpected, and the end sad, as the character realises that they had the whole world in front of them and they chose to hate rather than to love.

An absolutely incredible novel.
