The Bell in the Fog by Lev AC Rosen

I want everyone to read this book, for real. This is the follow-up to Lavender House (my favorite read of last year) and it completely delivered. The only gay PI in noir San Francisco, Andy Mills, is having a hard time setting up shop and needs to get some real paying clients. His first real case as a professional involves messy exes and old friends, blackmail, drag performances, and the lavender scare--all without being the biggest fucking bummer in the world. It's like if Sam Spade stopped being so bloody broody all the time and kissed some dudes. Don't worry, though; Andy still gets beat up plenty. We love a hurt lil guy!!!
