Back to Resolution (The Resolution Series. Book 1) by Rose Dee

3.0

I’m not sure how to begin this review because while I would have liked it there were elements that I just couldn’t get over with this being a Christian fiction book. I thought that Bay and Flynn were strong characters and well developed as was the plot line and I did enjoy it however I my reservations lie in the fact that Bay woke up in bed with an ex-boyfriend (even if they didn’t do anything), Bay seems concerned about modesty by yet wears revealing bikinis, see through shirts and other immodest clothing and then there is some cussing (however some words my husband wouldn’t classify as cussing, but I do).

Even after Bay becomes a Christian she still sports clothing that tempts Flynn even after he asks her to change. There is also a scene where they are laying on top of each other – at this point they are in love but they aren’t married and put themselves in a very tempting situation. I’m sure some would say I’m nitpicking however, no matter if I use the justification that she wasn’t saved before and that even Christians are tempted, it isn’t a book that I’d recommend to my friends. Had some of this not been included it would have been a great book but it had to many things that I just was not comfortable with reading.

**Disclaimer: I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion, no other compensation was given.
