Ghost Cabin by Boom! Studios, Mariko Tamaki

4.0

I was hoping that this would be much more like the Lumberjanes issue "If You've Got It, Haunt It" than it was. I'm interested to read one of Tamaki's works that isn't part of an existing series, to see whether my "meh" about these novels is her handling of someone else's properties or if it's the actual writing/pacing/voice itself. I was really excited to get into Molly/Mal as the main focus, as well, but I think maybe I was expecting too much -- although I loved that the romantic angle of their relationship boils down to, "I really want her to be happy and safe," which IS absolutely romantic AS HECK.
