This was fantastic. Neal Shusterman took the world he had shown us in book 1 and turned the stakes up to 11. I LOVED the amount of realism Neal Shusterman brings to every aspect of this book.
From the Thunderheads ruminations on creation to Greyson’s identity crisis, and Rowan’s emotional and physical torture. I wish we got to see more of the effects of the last two but I enjoyed what I did.

The reveal that occurs halfway into the book is crazy! I probably should have seen it coming but it was completely unexpected and a great level of morbid. I'm still not sure what to say about the last 30 or so pages beyond "Wow" because that was such a rollercoaster.

I will say, the scene with Rand and Goddard (you know the one I’m talking about) was COMPLETELY unnecessary in my opinion.
