Lorna Doone by R.D. Blackmore

1.0

This book was good when stuff was happening but very little actually happened.
I haven't got much to say so this review will be pretty short. The plot was all over the place and confusing. The main characters were somewhat memorable but the side characters all merged into one. The romance seemed very dodgy at the beginning (a 14 year old boy fell in love with a 8 year old girl) but became more legitimate, if very boring. The book itself contained blocks of useless prose and entire chapters of stories that held no relevance to the story. Some decent chapters though.
In conclusion, I would have stopped reading this book if it hadn't been homework.
