The pacing and writing style felt worse in this fifth book of the series.
- So much telling versus showing.
The transitions/incorporation of the MC’s personal life in relation to the ongoing case were very abrupt and felt out of place every time.
It felt much longer than it needed to be but maybe that’s because I wasn’t engaged in the story much.
