Love and Friendship, by Jane Austen

2.0

The version that I have of this book also includes other minor works such as Austen’s letters. It was also written when Austen was younger, and the quality of the writing shows that.

There was very little plot, and I found myself skimming through the book in a bored manner. It is a short novella and the pacing is slow as well. Some reviews have stated that you have to understand the social norms and time of when this book was published to enjoy the story better. I have read other Austen works as well as other books written in the 18th century that have kept me entertained. This was not one of them.
