Bidding for Love by Katie Fforde

3.0

Things I liked:
- the heroine and her cats
- mostly no sex scenes (not a prude, just sick of them)
- only told from the heroine's POV
- no trauma in anyone's past
- the dialogue - it just has a different feel from American books, though it reminded me of Jilly Cooper. British books have a different feel about them, which is just a nice change of pace.

Didn't like:
- stuffy hero who needs loosening up (read too many)
- it was too long, too much Colorful Detail -- which is to say, when she spent half a page describing what she was making her mother for supper, I skimmed. ...Really, halfway through I just started skipping all narration, and any conversations that didn't move the plot forward. ...And any more details about how to run an auction.
