Really really really good. Short and acrid. (See what I mean? Because it’s not sweet).
This short story SHOOK me as a teenager. I loved it so much then, and it holds up.
I highly suggest listening to, “ A Rose from Emily” by the Zombies after reading this. It’s so fun they the Zombies were probably reading this in English class too!
