Faithful by Alice Hoffman

4.0

I discovered Alice Hoffman when I read The Dovekeepers for a book club selection. Since then I have read The Museum of Extraordinary Things and now this one. What makes her books so appealing to me is that they are all three vastly different. She is not a formulaic writer. However, every one of her books has hooked my attention right away. The characters are deeply developed and yet not overly bogged down in description. Rather, the interactions between the characters and the development of the plot is always a completely immersive experience. I am so glad this one did not disappoint. In my opinion, the three I have read have all been home runs. I need to read the other one by her now.
