๐ Emika Chen is a tattooed, rainbow haired, skateboarding bounty hunteress who hacks into the opening ceremony of the game. What follows is a 10 million offer, a last-minute player, dark net, illegal auctions, unexpected friendships, and more than anything Emika has ever signed up for.
๐ The book is action-packed and fast-paced. There are so many twists and turns in the story. The world is so vibrant and fascinating! I love everything about this book.
๐ The main character, Emika, is smart and funny, but also flawed and a kickass heroine. Her relationship with Hideoโฆ aaahh ๐! The setting of this book is exploding with radness - the conversations, the technology, and all of its intricacies. I love the way Marie Lu writes action scenes. Theyโre sooo good and realistic ๐.
๐ The ending was also quite satisfying. I actually read this book last year, but havenโt really had the chance to pick up the sequel. Looking forward to it! Highly recommend it to anyone whoโs into video games, VR, futuristic sci-fi and quality action-packed books.
