This is what a second book should be!! The Dragon Republic takes every single element from The Poppy War and expands on them all in significantly compelling ways. Kuang takes everything we learned in Book 1, shreds it to pieces, lights it on fire, and forces it all down our throats while we scream “Yes please, give us more!”

These are the kind of stakes within fantasy that get me so HYPE. I’m immediately diving into The Burning God because there’s no way I can let any time pass without knowing how this story ends.
