Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War, Vol. 5 by Aka Akasaka
5.0
I cried. I cried over Kaguya's childhood, I cried for Kaguya's desire to be with her friends when her overprotective family intervened, I cried when her friends did everything they could to help her, and I cried when she got her wish. Her struggle for independence despite knowing her place in her family is difficult to watch because I could feel the loneliness and isolation in certain scenes. I could feel the heartbreak in her voice as she tried to convince herself she was fine with how things are. But I could feel her joy when she realized she had people around her who would work hard for her despite her faults. And that feeling was 110% worth it.
And of course, the chapters afterwards were hilarious and a joy to read. But, you know, the feels are what really matter.
