Skeleton Keys: The Secret Life of Bone by Riley Black

adventurous challenging funny informative reflective fast-paced

5.0

Skeleton Keys was wonderfully fascinating and reflective. As someone who took anthropology in undergrad, this book offered a fantastic look at the work of forensic and biological anthropologists in understanding human evolution.
I really appreciated Black's views on the relationship between anthropology and racism. Anthropology as a discipline pushed truly terrible theories and notions on racism that has major effects even today. One cannot discuss anthropology without acknowledging its past. Black's delve into the subject was appreciated.
