reading the acknowledgments of this book and being a follower of lyla sage since done and dusted, I knew that everyone and their aunt was waiting for teddy and gus’ book. I felt some of that pressure was reflective in the book when there were scenes that didn’t feel would happen with the way the characters were written but were added in to satisfy the audience. However, I really really liked the way this enemy to friends to lovers was written. I love teddy and gus’ banter and the unique situations they found themselves in together (iykyk). I loved some of the more serious heart-to-heart dialogue and the relationships of side to main characters. some small details of the 🌶️🌶️ scenes made me cringe out loud and I wished there was a little bit more considering the whole enemies to lovers thing. I also have a bone to pick with the cliff hanger that we are left with in the epilogue and the months I have to wait to get the next book, but i know it’s gonna be worth it🫡
