Berkley Street by Ron Ripley

I don't read horror books since I hate being scared. I've been trying to be braver so I decided to take a brief stink into some horror to get my feet wet.

After the disappointment that was Boneshaker, a book labeled horror and not even slightly scary unless you're 6, I decided to pick up a dedicated horror book.

This was a really fun read! It stayed exciting and I was really interested in the house and what would happen. There were some genuinely scary parts but not enough to make me have nightmares or anything, so perfect to get me used to the genre.

Since I'm not a connoisseur of horror I can't say I'd recommend it. Maybe it was a tropey mess and just horrible, but since the genre is new to me I thought it was great!
