There's a part of me that's a huge skeptic in the science side of things for this - but the romantic in me absolutely loved it. Jess' struggles as a single mom were written with empathy and respect, and I think they did a great job with the details and nuances there. River and Jess have excellent chemistry, physically of course, but even more so as friends, or soulmates - they work to understand each other (aside from a like 2 chapter long 3rd act break up, which annoyed me so much given their greater context). I particularly appreciated River for his awareness of the rules around Juno, and how he handled himself in each step as Jess felt comfortable revealing their relationship.
Christina Lauren books are always well written, and The Soulmate Equation is no exception. It's not a life-changingly incredible novel (personally) but it is very good and I enjoyed my time with it 💖
