The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

adventurous hopeful tense fast-paced

4.5

Well I loved the story and the ending and such. The language was pretty simple, and the dialogue honestly killed me sometimes. But the journey was so fun and I loved the characters.

The story of a 16 year old peasant girl who is the chosen one, (classic)finds out she has a lot of power she didn't know about. Gets trained. Lots of world politics, nobleman, a little romance, hello!
Anyways, giant plot to take down the main Ruler who is "unkillable." Honestly I think I didn't give it five stars because it felt like I was reading Shadow and Bone and I'm sure this one came first but I didn't care for that story either.

I loved the characters, how they developed, their personalities. Even though a lot of action doesn't happen until the end, it never feels boring or that you are getting information that you didn't need.

I'm going to try and finish the trilogy before I make final thoughts though.
