After We Fell by Anna Todd

3.0

“It was the way she looked at me the whole time. That look said more than she ever could and, in turn, scared me more than her words alone ever could.”

And here we have me reading the third book immediately upon finishing the second movie.

I have mixed feelings about this book because while I mostly enjoyed myself, a literary marvel it is not.

There was something about how certain phrases and sentences were worded that made me mildly uncomfortable, and I wish they were worded a different way.

I remember that reading the second book in this series; After We Collided, took me about 6 months to read because I kept getting bored, and yet I finished this one in less than a week. Although I did actually get a bit bored during this book as well. I think that if it was as long, and was a more reasonable length, I could have avoided getting bored, because it was only around the 80% mark that the boredom really kicked in.

I can’t tell if the whole thing with Molly was supposed to be a full redemption or if it was more a ‘she does have morals,’ plot directing kind of deal.

Overall, I had a relatively good time, and read it quickly despite the insane length.

Trigger and Content Warnings: Violence, last sexual assault, drugs and alcohol use and abuse, non-consensual drug use, coarse language.
