I devoured this book! I really enjoyed the process of self-discovery both of the main characters went through, as well as the navigating of their relationship and openly communicating about their thoughts and feelings – eventually – with each other. The meddlesome side charaters added some friction and charm to the plot in a fun but heartwarming way. There is so much love beneath all the meddling in the community!
"I want to change our original terms too. [--] So I was wondering if you'd be the someone to help me practice taking risks with, doing new things, and...maybe finding out who I am now?"
"Be your all-encompassing practice someone?" I ask, letting my thumb drag against her bottom lip.
"If it's not too much to ask," she says in a quiet whisper.
Who I was and who I am becoming are meeting at an intersection and deciding who should proceed.
