This book accomplishes all you would want to finish out the Temeraire series - a grand battle, scheming dragons, and an ending that satisfies the story while leaving the world open to further exploration.
Having read the tail end of the series as each book came out, and re-visiting the whole series before reading this, I definitely think this is a series best read entirely through.
