テンカウント 3 [Ten Count 3] by Rihito Takarai
3.0
Ch.13
Kurose-kun and Shirotani-san head out to shop for a suit. Shirotani struggles a bit with measurements but manages. Kurose buys Shirotani water and urges him not to push himself. Shirotani thinks over recent happenings. He tries to share water with Kurose but can't. At Kurose-kun's touch, Shirotani finds himself "indisposed" once more.
I can live with Shirotani's reactions- he's supposedly so new to this it makes sense. But Kurose you are all over the damn place.
Ch.14
They make it back to Kurose's apartment. Kurose undresses him and gives him head. Shirotani has concerns that his bacteria will hurt Kurose, who says he doesn't care. Shirotani finds himself caught between enjoying what's happening and fearing something will happen to Kurose. In the end, he asks Kurose what will happen if he says he likes him. Kurose says he will become even more attached. They stay embracing.
This section was more romantic in my view and more realistic. Some people questioned consent here but I don't see that as a problem in this chapter. In this chapter, it's clear that Shirotani is enjoying what Kurose does- he only fears that he will somehow infect Kurose with his germs. And given his condition, that seems reasonable. This is really the scene where we start to understand that Shirotani's issues stem less from worrying about the world infecting him and more of him infecting it.
Ch.15
Shirotani bolts as quickly as he can from Kurose's apartment. Kurose realizes that he has Shirotani's key in the ID case they exchanged. Shirotani oversleeps, exhausted from the last few days of relationship shenanigans. He gets to work on time, in a rush. Mikami also compliments him wearing his hair down. Shirotani appears to be developing a cold so the President lets him go home early.
Basically a logistical chapter- nothing exciting.
Ch.16
Shirotani decides he really is getting sick. Kurose calls as he hasn't responded to his texts. They chat a bit but Shirotani falls asleep on the phone due to the medicine. Kurose uses the duplicate key he found to get into the apartment because he is worried. After confirming Shirotani is okay, he goes to leave but Shirotani grabs him. He asks Kurose to get his water, which is when Kurose notices that he's kept the candy from the hospital.
Cute little worried scene. Nice to see Kurose being well Kurose rather that sex-crazed maniac.
Ch.17
Kurose leans in uncomfortably like he will kiss Shirotani, wanting him to "pass his cold." Last second he pops the candy in his mouth and leaves. Kurose suggests Shirotani is cruel for teasing him as he leaves.
17.5 Kurose's an Android?
Back to Kurose being a jerk and not respecting Shirotani being uncomfortable.
Ch.18
We get a snapshot of Shirotani's past- involving a young high school seductress tricking him into a locker while she engages in carnal activity with Shirotani-sensei. (We can assume this is his dad.) We see her later opening the locker and telling him he's disgusting. When he wakes from this memory/dream, he texts Kurose, begging him to disinfect himself. He refuses.
They meet later- Shirotani's suit is done and looks good. Shirotani asks what two men do when they go out. Kurose says it's similar to a man and a woman. They go to the aquarium. Kurose suggests that they watch a movie at his place next time.
Shirotani arrives, with his hair recently cut. He mentions Mikami suggested it, prompting jealousy in Kurose. He starts touching and unbuttoning Shirotani's shirt. He shows him a toy he bought him (an anal plug) and explains its purpose, much to Shirotani's disgust. When he suggests using his fingers instead, Shirotani begrudgingly agrees, but only if Kurose promises to wash his hands to Shirotani's satisfaction. This is done, with Shirotani resisting and crying the whole way through.
This and the next chapter are terrible. There are a few subtle hints that Shirotani is more worried about "infecting" or "spoiling" Kurose, but mostly it just feels like straight up dubious consent/date rape. Shirotani is doing what he's doing to make Kurose happy, not out of enjoyment, which makes it impossible to enjoy as a reader. And the whole he brought it on himself by mentioning Mikami is just ridiculous crap.
